Airgentic Help
Site Search can be shown in different UI layouts depending on the visitor experience you want.
This guide covers the overall search UI mode: overlay, inline page, search-only, search with AI answer, or assistant overlay. To control how each individual search result looks, use Configuring Result Cards and Layouts.
Overlay search opens above the current website page.
Use this when:
This layout shows:
Use this when visitors benefit from a short summary but still need source pages and links.
Search-only mode shows one input and search results, without an AI answer or chat interface.
Use this when:
The assistant overlay includes both search and a chat-style AI Agent tab.
Use this when visitors should be able to continue into a conversational support experience.
Inline search embeds the search UI into a page on your website.
Use this when:
Inline search is usually the best fit for enterprise-style search pages with several scopes and filters, such as Programs with delivery and credential filters, or Courses with subject and start-date filters.
The current recommended setup is a single Airgentic search container for the full search experience. More granular per-slot layouts are planned for advanced integrations, but may require Airgentic support.
See Adding Site Search to Your Website.
For visual customisation, see Styling Site Search.
